TENS

LOOK

BOOK

The Tens Lookbook was a live project in collaboration with the Glasgow based sunglasses brand, Tens. Tens is a fast-growing, online sunglasses brand and I decided to create designs which would give Tens a physical presence in the form of a series of pop-up stores. Tens prides itself on the individuality of its customers, wanting every customer to feel like a ‘ten’ in the selection of sunglasses. I wanted to continue this sense of individually into the pop-up store designs, embracing the culture of each city in which the store was located and enabling Tens to be a fluid part of a city’s identity. The Lookbook was designed as a starting point for Tens to use as a tool for creating pop-up stores. The Lookbook contains mood boards and display ideas inspired by the city’s identity. The creators of Tens were a fun and carefree group of young entrepreneurs. They had a willingness and openness with us, encouraging us to embrace any fun and quirky ideas that made this project really explorative and fulfilling.

final outcome

The Tens Store Lookbook is a book designed to guide the Tens team into creating their first stores. The book demonstrates how to embrace local textures in an architectural and spatial way.  It incorporates examples of key areas of the store as well as mood boards to create a unique in-store experience for Tens' customers, different to any other sunglasses store. The lookbook allows Tens to open stores anywhere in the world, celebrating the city they are in while still carrying the Tens DNA.
